Imagine five, ten, or twenty years from now.....

You did your time in the military. You look out the window in a peaceful trance past the Master's and Bachelor's degree certificates hanging on your wall, neither of which you paid for. After a few minutes of reflection, you log-on to your TSP account. You smile from ear to ear as you see your earnings graph show significant gains. You're on track to have a million dollar nest egg by the time you reach 60. You're proud that you made the smart choice to stock away money when you were younger. Suddenly, your kid calls you from university, a school you are "paying" for since you transferred some educational benefits to him during your mid-career. He rambles on about a girl he met in chemistry. You interrupt his excitement because you have a doctor's appointment. You arrive at your check-up happily, even though you have some on-going medical issues. No co-pay for you. You retired with full medical coverage for the rest of your life the day you left active duty. Life isn't perfect, but you sigh with relief while you sit in the waiting room across from other patients who have a look of despair. You're going to be ok...maybe even great, because you made smart choices all those years ago.

Learn how to make those smart choices with The Service Member's Playbook.
